What are the benefits of working with a functional medicine health coach?

It takes more than continuous visits with providers, supplements and medicine to get well and feel optimal. A functional medicine health coach is a very important part of a patient’s wellness healthcare team because they help patients bridge the gap between what they already know and how to get there. By partnering with a functional medicine health coach, you have the opportunity to explore pillars of wellness, cocreate a wellness roadmap together and use small goals as the compass to master your overall wellbeing.  Functional medicine health coaches are passionate about supporting patients to live healthier and happier lives and they are skilled at helping patients move the needle towards feeling their best and stepping back into the driver’s seat of their own health.

If you are looking to:

A little more about Kristen’s coach approach…..

Kristen’s functional health coaching approach focuses on meeting each client where they are at on their personal health journey of self-discovery and partnering with them to create lasting lifestyle changes. Kristen encourages her clients to set small, realistic, and attainable goals for achievable and optimal outcomes. She focuses on the bio individuality of each client and places emphasis on realistic sustainability as a primary component to her clients’ success.

Kristen enjoys coaching her clients around the pillars of wellness such as mindset, sleep hygiene, detox, movement modalities, ways to master functional nutrition and clean eating, and reframing stress responses to our modern world. Kristen’s coaching is also open space to defining healthy boundaries, examining the benefits of technology time outs, strength spotting, dismantling worry loops, exploring inner critics and gremlins that hold people back, identifying how PTG (post traumatic growth) creates healing opportunities, co-creating strategies and skill sets to become more resilient and identifying how overwhelm and the “automatic” hamster wheel contributes to internal and external health toxicity.

Kristen is always encouraging her clients to show up for themselves mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually and to take the time to know that personal growth is a choice that can lead to their greatest potential. Kristen’s coaching space is warm, encouraging, open and relaxed and Kristen’s own coaching philosophy is that someone’s spirit should never be buried under obstacles and challenges that they are being faced with. Spirits are meant to soar!

Kristen lives with her dog and two children ages 10 and 13 on Cape Cod. She considers herself a lifelong learner and she enjoys spending her free time cooking, going on long walks, practicing holistic self-care, and doing yoga. Kristen supports whole body healing practices and holistic, functional, and integrative health and wellness approaches align directly with her core values.
